Miracle Splash Card — Terms & Conditions

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your participation in the Miracle Splash Card program ("Program") operated by Marukai Corporation dba Tokyo Central ("Tokyo Central," "we," "us," or "our"). By registering for or using the Miracle Splash Card, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not register for or use the Program.

1Program Description

The Miracle Splash Card is a free membership program that provides exclusive discounts and promotional offers at all Tokyo Central and Marukai store locations. The Program operates on a campaign basis — periodic promotions are offered to active members, such as percentage discounts on qualifying purchases during specified promotion periods.

The Miracle Splash Card is not a points-based rewards program. Members do not accumulate points, earn credits, or receive cash-back rewards. Discounts and offers vary by campaign and are announced to active members via email and in-store signage.

In-Store Purchases Only. All discounts and promotions are valid for in-store purchases only at participating Tokyo Central and Marukai locations. The Miracle Splash Card is not valid for online purchases.

2Eligibility

To register for the Program, you must:

  • Be at least 13 years of age;
  • Be a resident of the United States;
  • Provide a valid, active email address;
  • Limit registration to one (1) account per person.

Duplicate accounts may be merged or deactivated at our discretion. Membership is void in any jurisdiction where such programs are prohibited by law.

3Registration

Members may register online at smartsavercard.tokyocentral.com or in-store at any participating Tokyo Central or Marukai location.

A. Information Collected

  • Required: First name, email address, preferred store location.
  • Optional: Last name, phone number, zip code, birth date (month/day/year).

You agree to provide accurate and truthful information and to keep your information up to date. Providing false or misleading information may result in account termination.

4Account Activation

After registration, an activation email is sent to your registered email address. You must click the activation link in the email to activate your account and access member benefits. Accounts not activated within 30 days of registration may be automatically deactivated and removed.

5Digital Card

Upon activation, members receive a digital Miracle Splash Card with a unique barcode. The card can be:

  • Accessed online through the card lookup flow at smartsavercard.tokyocentral.com;
  • Downloaded as a PNG image or PDF file;
  • Presented on screen or printed for use at checkout.

The barcode must be scanned at checkout to receive member pricing and campaign discounts. The membership card has no cash value.

6Identity Verification (OTP)

When looking up your card online, we verify your identity by sending a one-time password (OTP) to your registered email address. OTP codes are 6 digits and expire after 2 minutes. This verification step is required for the security and privacy of all members. We do not display member information without successful OTP verification.

7Promotional Campaigns & Discounts

Tokyo Central offers periodic promotional campaigns exclusively for Miracle Splash Card members. Example: "Spend $75 or more and receive 5% off all items — valid for one month."

Campaign terms may include:

  • Minimum purchase requirements;
  • Specific validity periods (start and end dates);
  • Restrictions to in-store purchases only;
  • Exclusions (e.g., gift cards, lottery, taxes, CRV);
  • Limitations to participating store locations.
In-Store Only. All campaign discounts apply to in-store purchases only. Online purchases are not eligible for Miracle Splash Card discounts or promotions.

Discounts are applied automatically when the member scans their card at checkout during an active campaign.

No Retroactive Application

Discounts must be applied at the time of checkout by scanning the member's barcode during an active campaign. Discounts cannot be applied retroactively to completed transactions. Refunds, price adjustments, or partial refunds will not be issued for purchases made before the card was scanned, before the member registered, or after the transaction was completed — regardless of transaction total.

In-Store Signage. Miracle Splash Card discounts must be scanned at checkout. Discounts cannot be applied to prior purchases.

Qualifying Purchase Threshold

The $75 minimum purchase threshold applies to the pre-tax subtotal only. The following are not included when calculating whether a transaction qualifies for the Miracle Splash Card discount:

  • Sales tax;
  • California Redemption Value (CRV) charges;
  • Bottle deposits and similar regulatory fees.
Example: If your pre-tax subtotal is $74.50 and CRV/tax bring the total to $80.00, the transaction does not qualify for the discount because the pre-tax subtotal is below $75.

What It Can and Cannot Be Combined With

Can be combined with: The 20% discount on sushi bento items. Both discounts will be applied at checkout when the member scans their card.
Cannot be combined with: The Rice Card. Miracle Splash Card discounts and Rice Card discounts may not be redeemed in the same transaction.

Except as stated above, Miracle Splash Card discounts cannot be combined with other promotions unless explicitly stated in the specific campaign terms. Campaigns vary and are not guaranteed to be offered continuously.

8Email Communications

By registering, you consent to receiving the following email communications:

A. Transactional Emails (Required)

Account activation, one-time verification codes (OTP), account confirmation, and digital card delivery. These are service communications necessary for program operation and cannot be opted out of while your account is active.

B. Promotional Emails (Optional)

Campaign announcements, exclusive offers, and member-only savings opportunities. You may opt out of promotional emails at any time by clicking the "Unsubscribe" link in any email or by contacting us at info@marukai.com. We will process opt-out requests within 10 business days. Opting out of promotional emails does not affect your membership or in-store benefits.

9Member Conduct

As a member, you agree that you will not:

  • Share, duplicate, sell, or transfer your card or barcode to another person;
  • Use another person's card or barcode;
  • Create multiple accounts to obtain additional benefits;
  • Attempt to manipulate, exploit, or abuse the Program or its promotions;
  • Request retroactive application of discounts to prior transactions.

Violation of these rules may result in immediate account termination and forfeiture of any pending benefits.

10Membership Inactivity & Expiration

Membership accounts with no activity for 1 year (no purchases scanned with the card) may be deactivated. An inactive account may be reactivated by contacting the Customer Service Center. Members are expected to contact us to update any changes to their email, phone number, or address.

11Program Changes

Tokyo Central reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Miracle Splash Card program, in whole or in part, at any time with or without notice. This includes changes to benefits, discounts, campaign structure, eligibility requirements, and these Terms. Continued use of the Program after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12Account Termination

We may terminate a member's account at any time for:

  • Violation of these Terms or Program rules;
  • Suspected fraud or Program abuse;
  • Providing false or misleading registration information;
  • Any other reason at our sole discretion.

Members may voluntarily withdraw from the Program by contacting us at info@marukai.com. Withdrawal is effective immediately. Member information will be retained for 1 year after termination or withdrawal, as described in our Privacy Policy.

13Privacy

Tokyo Central respects and values your privacy. We do not sell any personal identifying information about you to non-affiliated companies, manufacturers, or direct marketers. We may record information regarding purchases made with your Miracle Splash Card to help us better understand customer needs and to provide you with relevant offers.

Your participation in the Program is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

14Limitation of Liability

The Program and all benefits are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tokyo Central shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your participation in the Program.

15Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Venue for disputes shall be Los Angeles County, California.
